Maiden Erlegh School

About the school

Maiden Erlegh School, an Ofsted awarded ‘Outstanding’ school in all inspection categories, is a highly successful comprehensive school providing education and enrichment for over 1,800 students aged 11-18.

We have been serving our local community for more than 50 years and were one of the first schools nationally to convert to an academy 2011.

We are proud to be a part of Maiden Erlegh Trust a community of comprehensive schools in Berkshire and Oxfordshire that provides “opportunity, diversity and success for all”.

Values and vision

Maiden Erlegh School prides itself on being a safe, calm and respectful learning environment that is stimulating and challenging, inspiring and encouraging. Its diverse yet relevant curriculum is complemented by extra-curricular activities to enable each student to develop their own strengths and interests.

The school sets high standards for behavior and academic work. It thrives as a result of being a place of opportunity, diversity and success. Teachers work hard to help students progress socially and personally, focusing on the education and well-being of each individual child. At this important stage in students’ lives, Maiden Erlegh prepares them for further education and the wider world.
