Welcome to Marden Primary School!
On behalf of our pupils, staff, parents/carers and Governors, we have pleasure in welcoming you to Marden Primary School. Our school values are:

Our aim is that the children at Marden Primary School feel nurtured in all that they do, whatever challenges they face; that they can build a mutual respect with adults and other children and that we all aspire to be the very best that we can be.
We provide a high-quality education for all of our pupils, enhanced by a caring and positive atmosphere in our school, where every child’s uniqueness is valued. We know that pupils learn more effectively if they feel valued, happy and secure. Our children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum including regular trips and other enrichment activities. There are also a variety of extra-curricular opportunities, including clubs and sports.
We believe that parents/carers have a very important role to play in the education of their children and we actively encourage close co-operation between home and school. We value and build on the experience and knowledge that pupils bring from their home lives and we hope that you will work with us in making your child’s time at Marden Primary School enjoyable and successful. We want you to feel that you and your family are also a member of our wider school community. You will certainly be given plenty of opportunity to get involved both in your child’s learning and with the life of the school.
Plans are currently being explored to expand our school from its present 1½ forms of entry (11 classes) to two forms (14 classes), in order to accommodate the families moving into the many new houses being built in and around the village. Staff and Governors are ready for the exciting challenges and opportunities this will bring, whilst continuing to provide the quality learning and nurturing environment we already provide for all our children.
