Moyles Court School

About the school

Welcome to Moyles Court.  While there are many beautiful and historic school buildings throughout the country, few reside within a National Park boundary in the way that Moyles Court School does.

The New Forest, well known for its ancient heathlands, deep forests and native ponies, attracts visitors from around the world.  We’re pleased to say that our little corner remains very peaceful and it is only really local people who walk and enjoy the beautiful heathlands.

Being able to walk directly out of our own safely enclosed gardens, straight into the New Forest, means we can maintain a healthy and natural outdoor life for our children and help satisfy their natural curiosity and energy. All pupils at the school enjoy their immediate surrounds with its huge sandpit – formed on the south side of a natural sand hill – the ford, brook and surrounding lakes. It is here that Geography, Science, History and Art really start to take form for many of our children. There is also the physical activity of walking, exploring and sailing on the local lakes.

The school grounds of 14 acres are enclosed and the school enjoys a very open, sunny aspect. We have our own woodland and we actively encourage wildlife to thrive there. It is only natural that we should be part of the Forest Schools initiative where children learn about conservation and natural habitats.

The school site is large enough to accommodate a modern sports hall, Early Years and Pre-School facilities, gardens, sports fields and an all-weather multi-sports court.

Moyles Court School is a preserved and well maintained historic house with a warming family atmosphere.  It has retained many of its traditional features while providing a stimulating and beautiful place to learn.  Moyles Court is unique in every way.
