About the school
What makes us different from other Trusts?
At Pathfinder Schools, our core focus is on the whole child. Whilst academic achievements are important, they are not our sole focus. We take a much broader view – one that promotes the long-term development and success of all our pupils. We believe that through this approach, each student is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged, enabling them to thrive and grow into healthy, well rounded young adults.
We offer a diverse and vibrant enrichment programme, which challenges students to learn and develop skills outside of the classroom. We encourage our students to experience considerable levels of responsibility to help develop vital leadership skills. These opportunities prepare our students for the adult world, gradually building their confidence and increasing their self-esteem.
Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Pathfinder Schools welcome all children and values them as individuals, treating them equally and with respect. We believe that all children have the right to have their own particular needs recognised and supported. It is a Trust wide responsibility to ensure that children’s needs are addressed. Through staff working together and closely in partnership with pupils and their parents, we strive to ensure that these aims are met.
Transition to secondary school
We encourage early exposure to secondary school life through building close relationships between our primary and secondary schools. We hold a varied programme of inter academy events throughout the school year with the express purpose of familiarising children with secondary school life and strengthening their confidence. Activities include sporting events such as archery and athletics, as well as music and choral festivals.
Considering joining a Pathfinder School?
Thank you for your interest in Pathfinder Schools. We realise that choosing the best school for your child is one of the most important decisions you make. During this tranision period, we want to make certain that you have all the information you need to feel comfortable and confident throughout the decision making process. Admissions, visits and places
We are always happy to meet new families considering our schools and welcome you to get in touch to arrange a visit. The best way to arrange a visit for you and your child is to directly contact the schools you are interested in. Each school will be happy to arrange a visit, plus give you details about the places they have available in each year group.
