About the school

Roedean School is a mainstream, single-sex, independent, selective, secondary school for girls aged 11-18. It is situated in Brighton and Hove and there are 635 pupils on its roll this year and 660 pupils expected next year.

The school is situated in a beautiful location on the South Downs overlooking the English Channel. It was founded in 1885 and claims to have a “thorough, physical, intellectual and moral” education.

It is a selective school with termly fees but there are scholarships and bursaries available for girls going into years 7, 9 and 12.
