About the school

Warden Park Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Cuckfield, West Sussex. There are approximately 1,466 students at the school from 11-16 years.

Formerly Cuckfield County Secondary School, the school opened in 1956, converting to academy status in 2011. The school received specialist status for mathematics, computing and modern foreign languages in 2004 and since received government funding to build a 1.5 million maths block, along with new ICT and language suites.

Values and vision 

Warden Park Academy wants to nurture students into hard-working, responsible individuals with a great work ethic and high expectations, allowing for them to broaden their horizons and embrace every chance of success. Pupils are taught to respect themselves and others in a safe and caring learning environment.  Warden Park Academy wishes for pupils to develop an international outlook and positively contribute to the school and wider community.  Students are taught six core values: determination, curiosity, care, respect, teamwork and good judgement. Kindness plays a vital role at the school and in 2015, it established the Kindness Council to promote caring attitudes, resulting in it winning School of the Year by the charity, Kindness UK.  The school offers a wide selection of extra-curricular activities for pupils to get involved in and gain new skills and interests.
