We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic cook who can also teach, to lead our popular and successful Food and Nutrition department. The position offers an enviable opportunity for an inspirational candidate to manage a small team and work with highly motivated and enthusiastic learners. This post would suit someone looking for a new challenge who wants to be able to work creatively to inspire in students a love of food and appreciation of provenance, seasonal eating and sustainability.
Eating well is an important part of Mayfield life and the Head of Food and Nutrition has an important role to play. The successful candidate should be able teach with a focus on practical, skill-based cooking and nutrition. They should also be able to teach up to GCSE Level, as well as leading our Sixth Form Culinary Skills Course, and playing a leading role in our popular extra-curricular provision.
