The Halley Academy has a fantastic opportunity to appoint an Administrator to join us as soon as possible. Our successful candidate will be pivotal to the smooth running of the Academy by providing highly effective support to the Deputy Principal and the Academy Leadership Team. Whilst previous experience of working as a Personal Assistant is desirable, this is not essential as the successful candidate will have the flexibility to turn their hand to any admin-related task in this varied role.

The Administrator will work closely with the Academy Leadership Team and colleagues, the Local Authority and the wider Trust both confidentially and collaboratively.

The successful candidate will be professional, personable and committed to providing an excellent service on behalf of the academy and above all else will have a positive work ethic and can-do attitude. Our new team member will also have a passion to work within the education sector; previous experience in a school environment is advantageous.

​​​​​​​This is initially a fixed term opportunity until 31st December with the intention of becoming permanent, working 35 hours per week (8.00am - 4.00pm Mon-Fri), Term Time + 1 week of inset. The actual salary is £22,195-£23,416 per annum, commensurate with experience (£25,577-£26,984​​​​​​ full time equivalent).​​​​​​​

Working with us at The Halley Academy: The Halley Academy has a long and illustrious heritage being the first purpose-built comprehensive in the UK in the 1950s. We became part of Leigh Academies Trust in March 2018, a highly successful multi-academy trust offering a wealth of opportunities to all of its staff and students to collaborate, develop and grow.

The Halley Academy has been an International Baccalaureate World School since 2019 and students enjoy both the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme at Key Stage 3 and the International Baccalaureate Career- related Programme at Key Stage 5. Our STEM provision develops critical thinking skills, creativity and innovation across the curriculum and we are in a privileged position to be registered to deliver the T Level programme at Key Stage 5 from 2023 in a brand new Engineering and Design Centre. Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2022, our Trust comprises 30 geographically organised academies (14 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff.
