Description

Part time | Term time only

We seek to appoint from September 2022 a dedicated and caring part time After School Club Helper to join our team. We are seeking two assistants, one assistant to work Monday – Friday and one to cover Monday each week.  The hours of work for this position are 3.30pm – 5.30/6.00pm.

The successful applicant will have experience with children either in a teaching or childcare capacity.  He/she will be patient, approachable and able to offer creative ideas which foster growth and development in the children in their care.  He/she will be calm, kind and considered and have good communication skills.

Working as part of a team is vital and he/she should be able to work constructively within a small, closely-knit and very busy school in which children matter.  It is essential that the person appointed enjoys working with young people and presents a professional, approachable demeanour at all times.

Basic computer literacy / ICT skills would be an advantage.  We require all staff working at St Catherine’s to undertake regular Child Protection training and would also offer regular first aid training.  If successful, the candidate will also be required to take a basic Food Hygiene course.

St Catherine’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and an enhanced DBS and barred list check. The School is an equal opportunities employer.
