Description

We are looking for a vibrant, reliable and effective individual who will support the delivery of Art and Photography across all year groups, from Year 7 to Year 13. You must be committed to inspiring and motivating students and you will be involved working in lessons when required demonstrating practical equipment, to support the students learning. You may be asked to spend two days a week supervising the art club from 3.15pm - 4pm.

This position involves working within a busy and friendly environment, providing support to the Art and Photography Department, teaching staff and our students. The department is well-resourced and each member of staff has their own teaching room and desktop PC. The department has its own staff room within the suite of the Art classrooms. A central exhibition space is curated and overseen by the technician, as is the organisation and management of the Arts and Photography store room.

An interest in the Arts would be advantageous and an understanding of photographic equipment preferable as we deliver GCSE and A level Photography using digital cameras, Photoshop and analogue photography with a large darkroom, which our technician will be responsible for. The successful candidate would need to be computer literate, organised, and ultimately keen to be part of a dynamic, exciting Art department.
