We are a large all-age Outstanding Special School on the edge of Reading in Woodley. Due to expansion, we are recruiting teaching staff and an Assistant Headteacher to develop and lead Addington School’s new Early Years Centre at Farley Hill.

We have opportunities at both our Woodley and Farley Hill sites. Whilst it is not currently possible to view Addington Early Years Centre at Farley Hill, we welcome visits to our main school site in Woodley.

The new centre is part of Addington School but on a different site and the new Assistant Headteacher, reporting to the Headteacher, will be responsible for its operation on a daily basis when it opens in September/October 2023.

You will be:

  • Passionate about early education for our learners, experienced in the development of early years/primary curriculum and assessment for students with learning difficulties.
  • An experienced senior/middle leader with a proven track record.
  • A leader who is energised by a new project but can adhere to strict timelines and deadlines.
  • Highly organised and efficient whilst able to inspire and enthuse staff, students and the community.
  • A professional with drive, energy and determination alongside a good sense of humour.
