Our School

Brakenhale School is a school where we all strive for excellence. We are a high performing 11-18 secondary school with a resolute determination to accelerate students’ life chances. Our new Headteacher joined us on the 1st September 2021 and with his leadership, we aim to be truly exceptional. Our team approach to everything we do will enable this. Furthermore, Brakenhale School is part of the high achieving Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT) where the support and guidance is of a high quality.

An Ofsted inspection in January 2019 graded the school as ‘good’ overall. However, areas were also awarded as ‘outstanding’. We are extremely proud of what we do and often talk of ‘refinement’ as the mechanism to make us even better. As a secondary school serving the local community, we had over 550 preferences for 210 Year 7 places for September 2022. Families want to send their child to our school; we are proud of this.

The candidate pack can be downloaded from this page and suitable candidates can contact our HR Team at hr@brakenhale.co.uk with further questions.

If you wish to visit the school or speak to the Headteacher, please contact him at headteacher@brakenhale.co.uk
