37 hours per week • 8am to 4pm (15:30 on Fridays)

Term time only • 40 weeks per year (including Inset)

A rare opportunity has arisen to work within the support team of a prestigious and outstanding grammar school where examination results for 2018 ensured that Beaconsfield High School is one of the leading schools in the UK.

We wish to appoint an Attendance and Communications Officer with excellent interpersonal skills to join our supportive team to start in September 2022.

The school office team are the face of our busy school, welcoming our students, parents and visitors, and responding efficiently to a variety of day to day requests. As a member of this team, you will have a professional but friendly and approachable manner, able to handle sensitive queries positively and confidentially. You will also provide administrative support to the school community and be well organised and flexible, able to prioritise a range of work to meet deadlines, whilst also being able to meet the changing needs of the day.

You will be proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision, whilst being able to identify opportunities to support the wider team when needed.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable person to play a vital role in a dedicated team of staff. The successful candidate will need to be able to work collaboratively and flexibly within our team, build good working relationships with both students and adults.

The Post

The Attendance and Communications Officer is a pro-active role that supports the implementation of the School’s attendance policy and effectively manages attendance and punctuality across the School to ensure targets are met.  The person in post will also manage the school communications systems and administration of careers and other appointments. The Attendance and Communications Officer will also provide some cover for other roles from time to time and will support the Data Manager and School office in general administration tasks when workflows permit.
