Kendrick School is a successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in the centre of Reading. As an expanding school this is an exciting time to be joining the administrative team.

The Student Welfare Team has been created to recognise the changing needs in students’ educational and social lives. As part of this team, working alongside the Attendance and Student Welfare Officer, the successful candidate’s role would include:

  • Monitoring attendance and punctuality data on a daily basis and ensuring that this information is swiftly made available to appropriate staff.
  • Following up on every absence with students, families and/or staff as appropriate and ensure all attendance is accurately recorded.
  • Providing support and advice to students across all year groups with social, emotional, behaviour and attendance issues.
  • Being the Lead First Aider.

Applicants must have a desire to see every child reach their highest possible outcome and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and children.They must be IT competent and be able to produce and analyse data for reports. This will be a very busy role and the successful candidate must be able to work calmly under pressure, use their own initiative and work well as part of a team. Being accurate, versatile, proactive and well organised are key skills required for this role.
