About the role: Strood Academy has a fantastic opportunity to appoint an Attendance Officer who will join us as soon as possible. Our successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and entering all attendance data using the management information system in the academy. Through the monitoring of the data, you will lead in the implementation of a range of strategies with key stakeholders, be responsible for helping to raise attendance and make a significant contribution to the ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes. On a daily basis you'll be in contact with students, various members of staff, parents and external agencies - this is a busy and fast-paced role so we'd love to hear from candidates who are keen to be part of our collaborative and supportive environment.
The working basis for this role is full-time, Term Time plus 1 additional week inset. The remuneration offered is commensurate with experience (NJC Scale D2 between £18,933 - £21,748 full-time equivalent, £16,073 - £18,573 actual salary per annum).
Working for Strood Academy: Since opening in 2009, our academy has transformed the educational opportunities and outcomes for girls and boys in Strood. The improvement in academic performance has been driven by a talented and committed workforce, the hard work of our students, and support from parents and our community. Our new buildings in Carnation Road were designed in partnership with Nicholas Hare and built by BAM as our main contractor at a cost of £26m.
