Description

Hours/weeks: 37 hours per week Mon to Fri; 39 weeks per year (Term-Time only)

Working hours: 8am to 4pm Mon to Thurs, 8am to 3.30pm Friday (30 mins unpaid each day for lunch break)

The Corsham School Academy Group seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is positive, efficient, innovative and highly organised to fulfil the role of the attendance officer. Whether you have the relevant experience or are looking for a change in career, providing you have a real passion for the role and a vibrant enthusiasm to work with our brilliant students, we want to hear from you.

You will have outstanding interpersonal skills, exceptional communication and IT skills and either a working knowledge of SIMs or a natural aptitude to develop this knowledge with the relevant training.

Working as part of a team you will ensure that all students can achieve excellent attendance so that they can both access the curriculum and be successful.
The attendance officer will engage with students and their parents/carers and work in partnership with them, addressing any factors that may be impacting on a pupil’s attendance, as well as being able to liaise with multi-agency partners where necessary.

Amongst other skills and abilities, the successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well-developed ICT skills including Microsoft office packages, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Good organisational skills to be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

The Corsham School is part of a small Multi Academy Trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, eight miles from Bath and within easy reach of the M4.
