A school like no other, Wellington College is one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools and has an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation. We’re currently looking for a Music School Administrator to help run our very busy and successful music department.

The aims of the Music Department are to inspire, enrich, and nurture every pupil to fulfil their musical potential in a dynamic, vibrant and exciting environment. The facilities in the Music School are excellent, though very busy at the moment. Indeed, we teach in the region of 700 instrumental lessons each week. Join our team of around 50 visiting staff, 10 teaching staff, secretaries and technicians and you could soon be playing a vital support role.

Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Music and Arts and other music staff, many of your duties will be in consultation with them. However, you will also be able to take ownership of many of your own projects, get involved in decision making and be encouraged to come up with new ideas. Playing your part in special events, such as scholarships, prep school days and masterclasses, helping to organise tours of the school, dealing with enquiries, orders and invoices and providing marketing support and website and social media updates – all are aspects of this interesting and varied role.

To succeed, you will need to be a dedicated team player with proven administrative experience, ideally gained working in a customer focused environment. Creative, self-motivated, well-organised and with lots of initiative, you have strong attention to detail and excellent secretarial and office IT skills and are comfortable working to targets and deadlines. What’s more, you are numerate, tactful and discreet, mindful of observing safeguarding and professional standards and have the communication skills it takes to enable effective dialogue with pupils, parents, staff and visitors alike. Last but not least, you must have a genuine love and understanding of all music.

Not only is this an excellent career development opportunity, it also comes with a generous salary and benefits package. So, if you are ambitious, smart and professional in appearance and keen to represent the College in a positive manner, apply today.

Closing date: 6.00pm on Friday 3 December 2021
