Roedean is an extraordinary school, sitting in the South Downs and overlooking the English Channel. However, it is not just the location but the strong academic focus, with a genuine belief in the importance of creativity and an all-round education, that makes Roedean unique.
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to assist in the classroom under the supervision of the class teacher as well as providing students with one to one/small group support as required. The main focus of the role will be providing general literacy, numeracy, and organisational support, but a science or humanities specialism would also be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have a relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification. An interest in SEND and a Humanities/Science specialism would be an advantage. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring that every pupil succeeds and gets the support and encouragement they need.
Roedean is at a very exciting time in its development, with innovation, growth and the continued development of first-class facilities at the heart of our plans. We welcome your interest in being part of our continuing journey.
Closing date: 9am, 14 August 2022. Due to the need to appoint quickly we reserve the right to interview and appoint at any stage of the process.
Roedean is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.
