We require a flexible, hardworking Catering Assistant to join our great “in house” catering team to provide a first class catering offering to our students and staff across our five onsite food serveries. We have a recently built kitchen and canteen with excellent cooking facilities and hold a five star food hygiene rating. We normally operate breakfast, morning break and lunch services, with normal service being very fast paced, accommodating a large number of students in a short space of time. We also offer onsite meeting and training catering and the occasional after school/evening event.

Duties will include:

  • Simple food preparation (pizza, paninis, wraps, salad, fruit pots etc).
  • Filling drink cabinets, food transit to satellite onsite serveries, helping putting away deliveries.
  • Operating touch screen till, serving on counters at break and lunchtimes.
  • General washing up, cleaning and emptying bins.

Our Catering Assistants must be friendly and polite individuals who can guarantee service with a smile! When working in a busy kitchen, the Catering Assistant must possess a positive attitude and a cool head. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of food hygiene, a flexible approach to working together, with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of an efficient team. Previous catering experience and food hygiene certificate an advantage. Uniform and training will be provided.
