44 hours per week, 36 weeks per annum (term time) and 40 hours per week, five weeks per annum. Shift patterns are worked between the hours of 6.30am and 8pm (with 45 minutes unpaid break)

Salary range £12.48 per hour plus overtime with 13 weeks off per annum

St John’s is seeking a Head Porter who is reliable and conscientious individual to lead a team of Kitchen Porters. Main duties are to ensure the work areas are cleaned to a high standard, correct storage is maintained and an efficient service is provided. Good communication skills are essential and previous supervision experience is desirable, however, training will be provided. The position is physically demanding and the postholder will be required to undertake a significant amount of manual handling work.

The willingness to work flexible hours when necessary is essential. Shift patterns are agreed in advance half termly.
