Whitgift is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys, with approximately 1500 pupils including over one hundred boarding pupils and flexi boarding pupils. It is set in an attractive 48-acre parkland site in South Croydon enjoying excellent links to London, Surrey and the south coast.

We are seeking to appoint a Chemistry Technician who will assist in the day-to-day running of the technical support to a busy and thriving Science Department, together with other support duties within the Department. You will work under the Senior Chemistry Technician, Team Leader Technician, Head of Chemistry and the Head of Science.  We are looking to work with the ASE to qualify all technicians at their appropriate level, but relevant experience will be valuable in such a position, though not necessarily in a school context.

Ideally you would be able to take up the post as soon as possible, preferably by January 2022.

In return we offer a generous salary and benefits package including a money purchase pension scheme (plus Life Assurance Cover), Employee Discount Club, discounted school fees for the Foundation Schools and a range of family-friendly benefits and season ticket loan.

Closing date: Midnight on Thursday 2nd December 2021.

We welcome applications from all parts of our community as we aspire to attract staff that match the social and cultural diversity of our student intake.

For any queries, please telephone Human Resources on 020 8688 9222 or e-mail SchoolHR@whitgift.co.uk.

Applications will be reviewed daily, and we invite interested candidates to apply as soon as possible.

Whitgift School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening including checks with past employers and the Disclosure & Barring Service.

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
