At Dartford Primary Academy we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and know that all children develop quickly in the early years. We have a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Class Teacher to join and strengthen our existing team from September 2024. This is a unique opportunity to work at a internationally-minded school which is embedded both in the local and global community. Our children learn to be 'Determined, Persistent Achievers' who we believe will change the world for the better. At the core of achieving this is high-quality CPD for our entire team and a belief in the importance of consistently high expectations for all.

We warmly welcome applicants to arrange a visit to the academy prior to submitting an application to see how our team. You can do so by contacting Amy Wenban (Recruitment Advisor) on amy.wenban@latrust.org.uk.

Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome as are applications from more experienced teachers; we can offer a fantastic range of professional development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has evidence of outstanding practice as a classroom teacher
  • Has high levels of success in teaching across all stages of the primary sector and, in particular, demonstrate how they have been able to meet the needs of children with SEN/D
  • Has the highest expectations of pupils and themselves
  • Is enthusiastic, imaginative and forward thinking
  • Has the ability to inspire, motivate and engage children to achieve and succeed
  • Is able to form positive relationships with children, staff, parents and governors
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

In return, we will offer you:

  • The opportunity to help shape our future by joining a LAT Academy
  • A school community committed to raising achievement and attainment
  • A stunning environment with modern building, excellent resources and facilities
  • A strong commitment to support professional development opportunities
  • A supportive Governing Body and Leadership Team

This is a fixed term opportunity until August 2025 offering MPS, commensurate with experience.

Working with us at Dartford Primary Academy: Dartford Primary Academy is a highly successful three form entry primary school in Dartford, catering for children between the ages of three and eleven. We provide children with meaningful opportunities and experiences to become global citizens who have a desire to learn. "We are an accredited IB school and are currently implementing the PYP (Primary Years programme of the International Baccalaureate). Learning is built upon experiences that are real and relevant. Whilst we follow the National Curriculum we also respond to the interests and needs of the children to ensure that each term the activities excite and engage everyone." Our purpose is to equip our children to be internationally-minded and to possess the essential skills they need to be successful and engaged in all their learning throughout their educational careers and within their future vocations. Our aim is to send all our pupils onwards so they become lifelong learners, who are successful, confident and responsible citizens with a desire to improve the world in which they live.

At Dartford Primary Academy, we pride ourselves on nurturing our children to become determined, persistent achievers who will change the world. As a member of our team, you will be well-supported and provided with opportunities to develop yourself as a teacher and professional. Our pupils have said that they would like kind, happy and enthusiastic teachers who make learning fun, but also help them to achieve their very best!
