We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes during the short-term absences of teachers, providing general feedback to teachers about lessons. You will maintain good order in the classroom and will keep students engaged in learning. Your responsibilities will include taking registers, answering general questions and fostering positive relationships with students whilst acting as a professional role model.

Other duties when not covering lessons will include performing the role of a Learning Support Assistant, supervision of students on off-site visits during the school day and invigilating examinations.

The successful candidate will work within a small team delivering lessons to year 7-13 students across a range of curriculum areas. Previous experience of supporting learners in an educational environment is desirable, but not essential. Appropriate training and CPD will be provided.

Cover Supervisors play an important role in the work of the school and you would join a friendly and supportive staff. You will elicit high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance through following agreed school polices and embodying our school vision and values.

Please consider the job description carefully; if you are up for a challenge and feel you have the qualities to support our students, we would love to hear from you.

Easthampstead Park Community School is a vibrant, cutting edge learning environment. Our school culture marries unswervingly high academic expectations with excellent pastoral care and support. The concept of community is at the very heart of our vision; we believe in a three-way partnership between parents, teachers and students, and are proud of our setting and local community. Teaching and learning is at the very heart of our school, and drives everything we do.

This is a very exciting time to join us. In recent years, we have made excellent progress, and at our last OFSTED inspection (June 2016), we were rated as ‘good’ in all areas.

“Since her appointment, the Headteacher has focused on making sure that all pupils feel safe, happy and confident so that they learn well. This did not happen overnight but it is now apparent in pupils’ much-improved behaviour and their positive response to the good teaching they receive.”

We aspire to be rated ‘outstanding’, driven by a core belief that all of our students deserve nothing but the best possible teaching and support in order to be happy, healthy and successful. We aim to deliver the best quality teaching and learning in a school where staff and students have respect for, and pride in themselves, their school and their community.

If you feel you have the necessary skills, mindset and determination to join us on our journey towards ‘outstanding,’ we would very much like to hear from you.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits to all teaching staff, including access to Perkbox which provides teaching staff with money off in various High Street stores and with a wide range of online retailers.
