Overview

Royal Wootton Bassett Academy are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful Curriculum Exams, SEND and Pupil Premium Administrator to join their Administrative Team.

This new role will work alongside the Exams Officer to help with external and internal exams for pupils ensuring regulatory requirements are strictly adhered to and met at all times. The successful candidate will also provide SEND Administration Support to the SENCo and to Heads of Department within the Academy.

Main Responsibilities

Exams:

  • Working as part of a team, assisting and support the Exams & Data Officer within the Exams & Data Team.
  • In accordance with the Exams Policy and the Joint Council requirements, assist in the sound administration of all internal and external examinations.
  • Contribute to the successful outcomes of Exam Board inspection procedures.
  • Produce and disseminate candidate examination timetables and invigilator schedules.
  • Follow and respond to key schedules e.g. Assessment Calendars, working to tight deadlines .

Data: 

  • Be responsible for the exemplary maintenance of student records and have oversight of the on-boarding process within the admin team.
  • Ensure that SIMS is set up correctly for each new academic year and that Year 6 records are accurately put on the system ensuring that SEND and medical records (including Asthma Lists and Allergy Cards).
  • Responsible for FSM, PP data, Investigate Y7 PP data by using Y6 CTF files, FSM lists, K2S secure website and update.
  • Organise, oversee, support teaching staff and purchasing the NGRT; CAT Testing; GL Assessment Progress Tests for KS3 students so that we have a clear understanding of their needs for measuring progress.

Curriculum Support:

  • Responsible for the set-up of the Year 9 Options process, system setup, communication to parents and students.  Organisation of evening, Updating the options booklet.  Options IT support for Students. Letter to parents and students including confirmation of options choices.
  • Set up Parent Pay to ensure parents have access .
  • Provide Curriculum Support.
  • Responsible for the set-up of parents Evenings systems and communications to parents.
  • Administrative support for SIMs Intouch.  Monitor and check messages via SIMs Intouch and direct them throughout the Academy as and when needed.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance of the school website.

SEND

  • The central point of contact for all SEND administrative processes within the school.
  • Advising staff, understanding and interpreting the data to support our SEND proposition.
  • Collating and producing SEND student reports from a range of different platforms.  This requires a comprehensive understanding of the data to make a judgement of what to include.
  • Work with the SEND Assistant Headteacher to ensure that students are awarded appropriate Exam Access Arrangements.
  • Maintaining the SEND teacher website.

The right candidate will have:

  • GCSE or equivalent in core subjects.
  • Good IT skills, must be able to use MS Excel, MS Word.
  • Great eye for detail and highly organised.
  • Be able to produce data and reports and organise information.
  • Have experience of maintain accurate computerised records in a school or similar environment.
