Description

September 2021 start

Salary fringe area - up to £42,780 plus TLR 2b £4,783 (negotiable)

Slough and Eton is looking for a great teacher to join our Geography department as its new subject leader following the relocation of the existing post-holder. Geography is one of our most popular GCSE option subjects at Key Stage 4 and we need a leader for the team who will enhance this further and continue to develop the subject post-16.

In September 2021 we introduced A-Level Geography with great success and we would like the successful candidate to continue the development of this. The subject area is in a dedicated Humanities block and benefits from access to the latest Clevertouch interactive technology. The new leader of this team needs to be a qualified Geography teacher with a track- record of ensuring success at KS4.

If that’s you then you will need to be hardworking, dedicated to ensuring students of all abilities can succeed and, crucially, a great classroom teacher.  Previous experience of examination success at either KS4 or 5 is essential.  We currently follow the AQA specification for GCSE and Edexcel for A-Level.

Slough and Eton is a great school on the outskirts of Slough, which serves the Chalvey community.  We are relentlessly focused on ensuring great teaching, learning and experiences are at the core of what we do.  It is an exciting time for us and our students are a pleasure to work with.

If you are interested in finding out more then please read the welcome letter from our Headteacher and feel free to visit the school in advance of applying.

We welcome applications from colleagues who may wish to be considered in a part-time/job share capacity and are happy to explore flexible working arrangements.  We are, of course, committed to safeguarding the welfare of our students and staff and will conduct all necessary DBS checks as part of our recruitment process.

We look forward to hearing from you.

If you would like to contribute to our exciting future please visit our website at www.slougheton.com in the vacancy section for further details and application pack or contact our HR Advisor, Beverly Glanville for an application form on vacancies@slougheton.com

CV’s alone will not be accepted as a valid application.

Closing date:  Monday 23rd May 2022 (9am)
Interview: Wednesday 25th May 2022

We reserve the right to interview promising candidates prior to this date if applications are received early
