Description

Required September 2021

We are looking to appoint a talented, dynamic and innovative teacher to the post of Deputy Head of Centre (Deputy SENDCo) at Rise@GHC. Rise@GHC is a specialist unit serving pupils aged 11-19 with autistic spectrum conditions living in Bracknell Forest and other local authorities. The centre is part of Garth Hill College, but operates in dedicated buildings within a fifteen minute walk and five minute drive of the main Garth Hill site.

As a key member of the Rise@GHC leadership team, the appointed person will play an important role in the day-to-day management of Rise@GHC. As well as deputising for the Head of Centre, the successfully appointed person will take on a wide ranging leadership role and line manage others in the Rise@GHC team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Garth Hill team and join the leadership group at Rise@GHC.

We offer a positive, friendly and supportive atmosphere, a strong team ethos, a strong staff association and the very best programme of professional development together with opportunities for career development.

Garth Hill College is a happy and vibrant place of learning. We are proud to be a genuinely comprehensive school and offer a wide and diverse range of excellent opportunities, inside and outside the classroom, that we believe enable our young people to develop exceptionally well both academically and personally. The College was rated ‘good’ by Ofsted in May 2019.
