Salary
£21,613 to £24,006 per annum (£32,112 to £35,667 FTE) depending on skills, qualifications and experience plus holiday pay at 15.55%, plus an allowance of up to £7,300 per annum for 2.5 front line and 1.5 back up overnight shifts per week
Working Pattern
Full time, residential, term time only (35 weeks) • 53 hours plus four overnight shifts per week (2.5 front line, 1.5 back up) • Required for September 2021 for one academic year in the first instance with the possibility of a permanent role • Shift pattern involving days, evenings and weekends

At Cheltenham Ladies’ College, we aim to provide a strong support network for every one of our pupils. Around 690 girls board with us in one of our 11 sixth form and junior Boarding Houses and your role will be at the heart of this pastoral care as you join one of our dedicated professional teams working under an individual Houseparent.

In addition to looking after our girls’ wellbeing, you will help with the day-to-day running of the house and more. There is a range of work patterns available, with allocated time off. As part of a close-knit community in the centre of Cheltenham, you will also have easy access to all of the facilities that this thriving town has to offer.

College itself combines a rich heritage with an exciting future. Approximately 850 pupils from 40 countries across the world benefit from the knowledge and expertise gained over the last 165 years. To be considered for the role of Deputy Housemistress you will have the ability to supervise, encourage and motivate staff and to mentor and support girls effectively in the house. You will deputise for the Houseparent in their absence and will be responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the House together with coordinating and prioritising work schedules and delegating effectively to the team. Excellent administrative skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships are a must as is an academic background to enable you to advise and mentor the girls in your care.
