We are currently expanding the Design and Technology department by offering two new A Level courses and one more GCSE course alongside our existing courses. This, and the fact that we are an expanding school means we are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology to join our existing team and deliver an exciting curriculum to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have dedicated technician support, to deliver innovative and exciting lessons to all our students. We are a supportive and highly proactive team providing opportunities to teach Food and Nutrition and textiles as well as D&T. For further information about the department and curriculum please click here.

We are keen to ensure that we support the physical and mental wellbeing of our staff. Discounted membership is available for the use of a fully equipped and well-maintained gym on-site. Staff are provided with a laptop, and many have their own classrooms. We offer access to an employee advice service (Care First) which provides information, helpful resources, and a counselling service.  We encourage community spirit and staff involvement through various social events, recent ones being “tea on the terrace” in the summer term, an orienteering event, murder mystery and cooking competitions, sports after school and a Furze Platt fantasy football league. We also ensure that freshly brewed coffee is ready for you during break-time with edible treats to help you through the week!
