Description

The Henrietta Barnett School is a highly successful girls’ grammar school and has been a leading girls’ school since its foundation in 1911. In August 2022, The Times placed the school as ranking first for GCSE results in the whole country (state and independent schools) and in the top three for A Level results. Over 25 gain places at Oxbridge every year. The school is academically selective, with a culturally diverse, multi-faith intake.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic, forwarding-thinking Director of Studies, to start in January or April 2023. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team at this top-performing school and would suit a teacher with middle leadership experience, who may have aspirations for Headship. This new post has been expanded to add capacity to the current Team. The new Director of Studies will be responsible for the day-to-day operational running of the school and school data, and will have strategic oversight of the Extra-Curricular programme and the timetable.

For further information, please contact the Head, Mrs Clare Wagner (cwagner@hbschool.org.uk).

An electronic copy of the application form, on which all applications must be submitted, and a copy of the Job Description and Person Specification, can be found on the school’s website and on the TES website.

Closing date for applications: 4pm, Monday 26th September 2022

 Interviews: w/c Monday 3rd October 2022

We are committed to the Safeguarding of children; the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced disclosure and disbarring service check.
