A career at Oxford Road Community School… a future working with extraordinary children within an exceptional team willing to go the extra mile. If you are “extraordinary” and want to make a difference - we want to hear from you.

We currently have a vacancy for a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our thriving Foundation Stage team. We are looking for someone committed, enthusiastic and flexible to join a friendly and professional team. If you have a passion for working with children in the Early Years and want to work in a setting which celebrates cultural diversity, values community and strives to provide the very best opportunities for each and every child then Oxford Road Community School could be the school for you.

  • Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and a sense of humour.
  • The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children.
  • A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team.
  • Able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.

We would prefer applications to be submitted electronically. For the purposes of equal opportunities, we can only accept Reading Borough Council Application forms so please do not send a CV.

Visits to the school are actively encouraged however, due to current circumstances, these are not possible but we are happy to offer a preliminary phone call with prospective candidates, should they want to discuss the role further and to confirm if a visit can take place.

Closing date: Noon, Thursday 4 March 2021. Interviews: w/c 8 March 2021.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. These positions requires an enhanced DBS check. These posts are exempt from Section 4(2) of the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
