Geoffrey Field Junior School is a well-established school at the heart of the local community. In March 2024 OFSTED said “Geoffrey Field Junior continues to be a good school. The school has created an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts pupil’ interests first”.

We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our school as family worker. This post would suit an already experienced pastoral/family worker or someone with other relevant experience looking to develop their skills and expertise.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience of working with primary aged pupils and their families or have experience of providing pastoral support and guidance.
  • Have a good understanding of the issues that our families and pupils may encounter.
  • Be flexible, self-motivated and able to work under their own direction.
  • Be a team player and play an active role in our pastoral team.
  • Have designated person safeguarding training and have experience of dealing with child protection cases (training can be provided).
  • Be keen to be involved in aspects of wider school life.
  • Knowledge of CPOMS would be advantageous.
