Hours: 30 hours per week, 8.45am – 3.15pm (flexibility to adjust hours is required i.e. 9.45am to 4.15pm), with 30 minutes unpaid break, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Have you recently finished an undergraduate degree? Are you interested in exploring a career related to education or social care, but are not yet sure that teacher training is for you?
We are currently seeking to employ two graduate instructors. One post is focused on planning and delivering small group tuition for small groups of students to accelerate their progress in English and Maths and with an option to include science. The other post is focused on providing cover for lessons to ensure pupils continue making good progress in their learning on occasions when their substantive teacher is absent. Full training and support will be provided. Either role could provide an excellent launchpad into teacher training, or alternatively support you with developing the soft skills to succeed in a graduate role in a private sector company.
The successful candidates will have excellent academic foundation (strong performance at GCSE) in Maths and English and ideally science, will gain satisfaction for helping others and sharing their love of learning, and will be adept at forming positive, motivating relationships with young people. They will be open minded and keen to learn and progress.
