Forming part of a strategic focus on supporting and raising the profile of the College’s Girls sport provision is just one aspect of this challenging role. You’ll also be responsible for leading on key areas of internal management and the delivery of the College’s Girls sport programme. Through internal coaching both in terms of participation and performance, your particular focus will be on Hocky, Netball, Cricket, Football and Rugby. Assisting with providing weekly coaching plans/resources will be important too, as well as leading sessions, masterclasses, coach observations and running workshops.
Already with extensive experience and passion for coaching sport – particularly girls sport in a youth setting, a coaching qualification/experience and a strong network with sports organisations in the local area would be an advantage. Well-organised and self-motivated, you have a sharp and progressive vision of Girls sport and are a firm believer in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. You also have the communication skills to enable effective dialogue with pupils, parents, staff and visitors, a high level of numeracy and are proficient using office IT like SOCS and Microsoft Suite.
