Homefield Preparatory School, Sutton, Surrey, is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and outstanding practitioner to lead a well-established and very successful History Department.
The successful candidate will be required to support the strategic direction of the school through delivery of effective teaching and learning programmes, by fostering an inclusive and challenging learning environment and engaging with the school community within and beyond the classroom.
This is a permanent position starting in either April or September 2023, with an excellent rate of pay plus Leading Learning Allowances.
The purpose of the role:
We are looking to build on the already solid foundations of the department, to further raise the standards of teaching, learning, levels of progress and exam performance within history and the wider humanities subject area.

Experience:
Prior experience of 3 years or more working in a leadership position and managing a teaching team would be advantageous. We are happy to accept applications from state funded schools or teachers looking to return from teaching abroad.
