Description

We are looking to appoint an ambitious, passionate, and well-qualified mathematics subject leader to both shape and lead a new team at Farlington, in a subject that consistently achieves impressive results.

As the mathematics expert in the school, you will be able to teach from Year 7 through to the Sixth Form to a high standard, with the ability to teach A Level and Further Maths essential. The successful candidate will lead and manage the delivery of mathematics within the curriculum throughout the school, ensuring that teaching reflects the School’s vision and commitment to high achievement, including effective teaching and learning. The School is a part of Bellevue Education, and as such this role offers excellent opportunity for ongoing professional development including established leadership pathways, and further opportunity for collaboration between schools within the group.

The salary will be on the Farlington Management scale, which is competitive for the area.

Farlington is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 4 to 18, and is set in 33 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside. The school enjoys a strong reputation for its academic excellence and welcoming community. Farlington students are happy, fulfilled young people, fully engaged in the life of the school community, aspirational and committed to their studies. This is also a hugely exciting time of development and growth for the school as it becomes fully co-educational from September onwards.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 10 May, although applications will be reviewed upon receipt and shortlisted candidates may be invited for interview - either in person or via Google Meet - at short notice.

Farlington School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
