Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead an extremely successful and over-subscribed 11-18 fully comprehensive single Academy Trust which is consistently in the top 10% of schools nationally. During our last Ofsted Inspection (October 2018) we were graded as Outstanding.

The Board of Trustees are now seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated leader with strong values, great drive and a clear vision for our school’s future.

We want an exceptional Headteacher for our school, who:

  • has the ability to balance the expectations of the highest educational standards with a commitment to nurture the values and ambitions of the whole school community
  • champions high quality education both within and beyond the classroom, empowering our students to become confident, adaptable young women ready for life in the twenty-first century
  • has a proven record as a successful strategic senior leader with excellent interpersonal skills, adept at communicating confidently to a range of audiences
  • values and works collaboratively with, and supportively with, all stakeholders and the wider community.

You are strongly encouraged to make a pre-application visit alongside exploring the website and finding out more about the attractive and forward-thinking local area within which Newlands sits. To apply please download the Headteacher application pack on the school’s website. Applications will only be accepted on the school application form; CVs and other forms are not acceptable.  The closing date is noon on Wednesday 2nd February 2022.   Interviews will be taking place week commencing 7th March 2022.

To arrange a visit between Friday 7th January 2022 and Friday 21st January 2022 please contact

Mrs E. Bateson, Headteacher’s P.A. on 01628 625068.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
