That will involve everything from scribing notes in lessons using Microsoft One Note through to providing examination support as a scribe and practical assistant. Along the way, you will need to liaise with colleagues to prepare and plan material. You will also need to prepare and utilise available IT resources to support the pupil’s learning. Attending training on the use of IT software, when required, will be important too, as will developing positive relationships with colleagues. Put simply, we will rely on you to provide consistent and effective support and do all you can to facilitate a positive learning experience.
To succeed, you will need experience as a teaching / learning support assistant; a high level of literacy and numeracy, excellent attention to detail, proficiency using IT systems and a proven record for meeting targets and deadlines. A dedicated team-player who strives for excellence and leads by example, you are tactful and discreet too, whilst being mindful of observing Safeguarding and professional standards. What’s more, you are enthusiastic, keen to learn new skills and committed to personal continuous professional development. You are also smart and professional in appearance, adaptable and flexible to working hours when required and comfortable working alone without direction.
So, if you have all of the above, and are committed to contributing towards the College community, apply today.
