Description

The Langley Academy is not just another school; it is a new way of learning, where each and every one of us is encouraged to use our imagination to create new ways to ignite our students’ desire to learn. Our state-of-the-art facilities including our on-site museum and unique ‘Museum Learning’ approach provide the backdrop to our success.

As one of our staff recently said: “We provide experiences to our whole school community, you simply don’t get anywhere else”.

We are seeking to recruit an inspiring colleague with the skills, knowledge and experience to contribute to a committed and enthusiastic Academy. Our vibrant Maths faculty is looking for people who have the drive, enthusiasm and commitment to deliver outstanding support to help young people.

Ideally,  we want to appoint someone who already has the HLTA qualification but applications from others who have appropriate experience and who are willing to undertake the HLTA assessment process are equally welcome to apply. Several of our previous HLTAs have moved on to be outstanding teachers.

Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.

Within our Trust we believe there is no ceiling to achievement for our children or our teachers. We are focussed on growing our young people into broad minded, critical thinking and confident adults. This role will help shape our teaching practices to enable our school community to achieve this ambition.

One of the many advantages of working at The Langley Academy is our short Fridays so you can start your weekend early, part of our wider approach to supporting health and wellbeing. In addition, we provide you with the help, support and resources you need to develop, including enhanced additional funding from our sponsor.

If you wish to be considered for the post, all information is available on the school website www.langleyacademy.org

If you would like further information or to arrange a visit to the school, please contact Tara Mackay, PA to the Headteacher and HR Lead at tara.mackay@langleyacademy.org

We are delighted to share our new Academy video with you https://vimeo.com/648953845/f509cf460d

Closing date: 9.00am, Friday 16th September 2022

Interviews: Wednesday, 21st September 2022

The Langley Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All appointments are subject to an enhanced clear DBS check. The trust reserves the right to appoint ahead of the deadline.

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
