We are looking to appoint a Year 11 Housemistress to lead one of our boarding houses with a mixture of full, weekly and flexi boarders. The Housemistress is primarily responsible for the Boarders and is supported by an Assistant Housemistress, as well as Residential Tutors and Assistants on evenings and weekends.

We are looking for a candidate who is nurturing in approach, approachable and broad-minded. You will be a key role model to our pupils and should inspire them to achieve in all aspects of school life. As well as excellent communication skills, you should bring strong administrative abilities and a well organised approach to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the House. You will have strong leadership skills with experience of working in a pastoral capacity. High levels of energy and stamina are needed to make the most of this residential post.

Applicants will be required to have teaching experience with flexibility around subjects and will work on a reduced timetable.

There is a genuine occupational requirement (as defined by Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010) for the postholder to be female. Accordingly, this post is open to women only.
