An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy HR Team for a HR and Recruitment Officer who will be reporting to the HR Partner. You will be working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Faculties/Departments to provide accurate and timely recruitment advice and administration in line with procedures and best practices.

Whilst much of the role supports the recruitment process, this is a HR generalist role which will allow for the job holder to be involved in other stages of the employee life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective management and delivery of high volume recruitment and selection activity.
  • Offering expert advice and guidance in relation to recruitment best practice.
  • Produce employment contracts and variation to contracts in line with authorised management requests.
  •  Processing new starters from recruitment to onboarding.
  • Providing day to day confidential and professional HR Administration services.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be flexible and adaptable and willing to perform additional duties as required by the school.
  • Have previous HR experience within an education environment.
  • Be educated to degree level and ideally hold a HR qualification.
  • Experience of providing high-level HR administrative support in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate on all levels.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally.
