Kingsbury Green Academy, judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in every category when inspected in April 2022, is part of the successful Ascend Learning Trust. We are an ambitious, forward thinking 11-18 years Academy situated in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Calne in Wiltshire.

We are looking to appoint a positive, enthusiastic, ‘can do’ person with an ability to relate well to adults and young people to join our Pastoral Support Team. The post involves supervising and mentoring students and maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour in the school inclusion room, known as H1. Enthusiasm and a strong presence are essential and ideally candidates should have experience of working with young people, either in a pastoral capacity e.g. as a TA or Mentor or in a teaching/tutoring capacity. There will be a strong emphasis on restorative work and positive re-engagement with the students to enable them to maximise their learning in school. Extensive support and training will be offered.

This post is open to newly qualified teachers, looking to gain early experience in a school setting or other educational professionals with a desire to join a strong pastoral team with a focus on inclusion.

Please phone or visit the vacancy section of our website for further information and an application form.

Closing date: Sunday 4 December 2022

Interview date: Friday 9 December 2022
