Description

The Holt is a popular and oversubscribed 11-16 girls and 16-18 co-ed comprehensive school, which converted to academy status in July 2011. The school was judged ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in March 2023; there are 1414 on roll (222 in the Sixth Form) and we have a record of academic success with 89% of students achieve 5 or more standard passes including English and Maths.

A Learning Support Specialist is required to support students with special needs in mainstream classes and on a 1:1 basis. This role involves supporting students with their social and emotional needs. Candidates will be required to liaise with external agencies to seek guidance on strategies to support the student.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education including grade 4/C GCSE or equivalent in maths and English. Previous experience working with students with physical or social and emotional needs would be advantageous. Funded ELSA training will be provided.
