Essential to the smooth running of the College, our Domestic Services Department ensures that all areas of the College are cleaned and maintained safely and to the highest standard. As a Logistics Team member, key responsibilities will include the transportation of various items around the College site, setting up and dismantling venues for organised events and making sure the public areas of the College are well maintained. One day you might be delivering supplies, carrying out minor maintenance and cleaning specialist flooring, the next setting up a conference, clearing rubbish from the site and moving furniture. In short, it's a role where no two days are the same.
To succeed, you will need to have relevant experience to date and be familiar with COSHH in an educational setting and Health & Safety at work in general. You will also need a First Aid and Manual Handling qualification and a full clean and valid driving licence. The communication skills it takes to engage in effective dialogue with colleagues, staff, visitors and where appropriate, pupils is essential too, as is a proven ability to provide the highest level of customer service. A dedicated team player that is able to work without direction, you are reliable, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and are keen to learn and develop.
