This post provides a real opportunity to make a difference – guiding and helping our students to be the best they can be. We are looking to appoint an approachable and engaging colleague to help us fulfill our vision to provide an exceptional education for all. Working alongside our teachers, you will be supporting our students within lessons and delivering targeted sessions for small groups and individuals.

Within our Trust, we believe there is no ceiling to achievement for our children or our colleagues. This role is critical in creating a nurturing environment for our students to learn and grow into broad minded, critical thinking and confident young people who believe that they can achieve anything they put their minds to.

As some of our students recently said:

“I was successful in my exams. I think the program is really beneficial for students with little confidence in specific subjects and it definitely helped in in the long run”

"I was actually quite apprehensive about having tutoring but when I realised there was a positive correlation between maths and science and I saw the progress I was making, I was happy to continue”

You should have enthusiasm for learning, excellent communication skills with the energy and commitment to lead by example and go the extra mile. In return, we offer a caring and welcoming school community with committed staff and a supportive leadership team.

One of the many advantages of working at The Langley Academy is that our staff enjoy a shorter day on Friday, part of our wider approach to supporting employee health and wellbeing. In addition, we have access to private healthcare, support from our wellbeing team and we provide you with the help, support and resources you need to develop, including enhanced additional funding from our sponsor.

If you wish to be considered for the post, all information is available on the school website

If you would like further information or to arrange a visit to the school, please contact Tara Mackay, PA to the Headteacher and HR Lead at

Closing date: 9am, Tuesday 29 November 2022.

The trust reserves the right to appoint ahead of the deadline.

The Langley Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All appointments are subject to an enhanced clear DBS check.

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
