The Haberdashers’ Boys’ School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Music Technician to commence in September 2022 until the end of the academic year 2022/23.

Music is exceptional at Haberdashers’ and plays a crucial role in our community. We have a busy concert schedule, including a board range of musical styles and genres, all requiring technical support ranging from stage management to front of house (audio). In addition to this, we are looking to expand our audio-visual output, documenting process and outcome across all our most ambitious projects.

The music technician role is integral to both the smooth running of the department and presentation of our work. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, a keen problem solver, be able to anticipate the needs of a range of ensembles and projects as well as having a strong grounding in audio production and engineering.

The hours will be 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday term time (35 weeks) plus 3 weeks to be worked in the school holidays, with flexibility to work at evenings and weekends to support events.
