We have an exciting new opportunity and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Physics Technician to join the team in our Physics department on a part time, permanent basis (32 hours per week, 33 weeks per year (Term time).

About the role:
The successful candidate will prepare equipment for lessons, maintain equipment and contribute towards improving the working environment and working processes in the Physics department.
Key responsibilities (Please refer to job description for full details and criteria):
- To prepare equipment for lessons and deliver to classrooms
- To research new methods for demonstrating scientific phenomena practically
- To keenly share best practice and new practical ideas.
- To assist with the day-to-day servicing of laboratories
- To carry out routine equipment maintenance
- To assist with the preparation, organisation and storage of learning resources and equipment
- To keep up to date with Health and Safety regulations by attending courses, reading relevant literature etc.
- To contribute to the design, development and maintenance of specialist resources.
