We are seeking an experienced, inspirational, and impactful school leader for this exciting new role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an excellent understanding of teaching, learning and curriculum in the primary phase, a track record of developing and supporting outstanding teachers and support staff, and of implementing whole school initiatives. Strong organisation skills, effective communication, emotional intelligence, a positive outlook, and a proactive and creative approach to problem solving are critical.

We are looking for a role model for students and colleagues, a leader who will deliver a holistic world-class education for our bright students by ensuring teacher practice, development and self-reflection are exceptional, that students are challenged and excited by an educational provision that is innovative, inspirational, and future-focussed.

The Senior Deputy Head (Academic) leads many daily aspects of the Prep School, including the calendar and assigning cover when required. As a member of a collegial Prep Leadership Team (PLT) comprising the Head of Prep, Head of Pre-Prep, Deputy Head Pastoral and Assistant Head Co-curricular, Timetable and Data, the Senior Deputy Head (Academic) also supports the strategic leadership and development of the school and will regularly deputise for the Head.

The post would suit an ambitious candidate aspiring for headship in a few years’ time.
