Full-time, 40 hours per week on a shift-based system, including early mornings, evening and weekend working.
We are looking for customer focused individuals dedicated to providing excellent customer service to join our Health and Fitness Centre team.
Cheltenham Ladies College has recently made a significant investment into its sporting facilities with its new Health and Fitness Centre. The facility is used by the College Pupils’ both as part of their Sport and Physical Activity programme and also during their leisure time. The Centre facilities are also open to members of the public.
As a Recreation Assistant you will work as part of a small team ensuring that the environment is safe for use and that a high level of customer service is maintained at all times. You will undertake a range of duties including supervising the swimming pool, cleaning tasks, setting up sport areas and moving equipment safely. You will have excellent communication skills and have a helpful attitude towards customers, with the ability to work independently and also as part of a team. You will also be able to maintain a positive attitude, whilst sometimes working under challenging situations.
For the right candidate the role will also include relief Duty Manager shifts, providing cover for our Duty Manager team as and when required. Salary will be enhanced for any Duty Manager shifts which are covered. This is an excellent opportunity to take the first steps into a management role in the leisure industry. Full training will be provided.
A National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification (NPLQ) is desirable but not essential, training can be provided to the right candidate.
