We are seeking to appoint a school Chaplain who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspiring; a practising Catholic in full communion with the Church who is able to set a good example to all members of the school community in terms of living a Christian life, as set out in the 'National Standards for Chaplains'; see attached.
As the Chaplain you are integral to our school community providing practical and spiritual support nurturing the faith and liturgical life of the school, whilst complying with the requirements of the Diocese of Westminster Education Service. You will have a central role in implementing the school mission statement and work closely with our Associate Assistant Headteacher in developing the Catholic life of the school.
The successful applicant will be responsible for organising and facilitating liturgical assemblies, retreats and continuing our work to build strong relationships with our local parishes. In addition, you will work closely with our House Council and Charity leaders to support our Charity work helping them to organise a range of fundraising events. You will also work with the Religious Education (RE) department in delivering Core RE to our Sixth Form pupils.
Applicants must be approachable, supportive and empathetic to the whole community. Experience of working with teenagers or young people would be an advantage. The school’s excellent facilities include a sports hall, fitness suite, dance studio, astro-turf and gymnasium.
We can offer you:
- Excellent development through our tailored CPD programme and team of Lead Practitioners and coaches.
- A staff wellbeing programme that is genuinely responsive to need.
- A collegiate, supportive and stimulating professional environment.
If you are a motivated, creative and well-organised professional who wants to work in a school where human flourishing is at the heart of what we do, we would love to hear from you.
