Description

The Leigh Academy are seeking to appoint a SEN Teacher - Speech and Language from September 2023 to support our SLCN students in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. We have a Specialist Resource Base within the Academy and our successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the team, responsible for supporting between 10-15 pupils requiring assistance that are in mainstream classes who the successful candidate will provide intervention for. Due to the level of SEN, primary experience would be desirable for the role but not essential.

This is a fantastic time to join us; the Academy has gone from strength to strength and to continue that development, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our team.

Our successful candidate will have the relevant post-graduate SLCN qualification, be on track to complete it or would look to complete this in the near future; we can provide the necessary support in order to achieve this as we are seeking to appoint a passionate SEN Teacher.

This role will be on a 3 day per week working basis of which we can be flexible, and we can offer a full-time position if the successful candidate can offer a subsidiary subject for the remaining 2 days per week. In your application, please specify if you are interested in the part or full time opportunity. Offering a salary of MPS/UPS dependent on experience + SEN1 (£2,381).
